1/20, 7 PM: Lecture on "Seven Owls (Plus One) of Indiana" at the Evansville Audubon Society meeting. Open to the public at Wesselman's Nature Center, 551 N. Boeke Rd., Evansville, IN 47711. Sharon will share stories about these secretive birds, some humorous, some amazing, and some just plain you-gotta-be-kidding. Books will be available for purchase.

1/30, 9:45 AM: Author, editor, and noted military historian Col. Jerry D. Morelock, USA Ret., author of the forthcoming Generals of the Bulge, will give a presentation on "Ike's Lieutenants: The Generals Who Won World War II in Europe" as part of the 10th Annual Sarasota WWII Conference, at Sandcastle Resort on Lido Beach, 1540 Ben Franklin Drive, Sarasota, FL 34236, January 28-31.
