Stackpole Books has released new mobile apps featuring two of our best-selling books, Waterfowl Identification Guide: The LeMaster Method, and Basic Stained Glass Making.
The Waterfowl Identification: The LeMaster Method mobile app was adapted from the classic reference of the same name, which has been used by wildlife experts to identify waterfowl in the field for over 25 years. It covers 27 North American waterfowl species, helping you make an ID by comparing the bill with a full-size image, or by observing body size and shape.
Once your bird is selected:
This app provides a comprehensive waterfowl ID guide, available whenever you need it—right in the palm of your hand!
The Basic Stained Glass Making app contains in-depth instructional videos demonstrating all the essential skills a beginner needs to get started in stained glass: cutting and preparing glass pieces, working with foil and lead, soldering, and finishing and repairing projects. Also included is complete information on tools and materials, with an in-app checklist of needed items. Glass crafter Michael Johnston bases his hands-on approach in the videos on the successful, time-tested classes taught at Rainbow Vision Stained Glass in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he has taught thousands the craft. With over an hour of instructional video, this app serves as a clear, thorough workshop that you can attend as many times as you want!
